Antalya Kaleiçi district is an important tourism point that contains ancient ruins. These ruins are the walls surrounding the region and some of the port mender in the inner port. Surrounding the region from inside and outside, the Walls are a common work belonging to the Hellenistic, Roman, Byzantine, Seljuk and Ottoman periods.


There are about 3000 houses in the city walls. The characteristic structures of the buildings not only give an idea about the architectural history of Antalya, but also reflect the lifestyle, traditions and customs in the region. The buildings in this region, which is an important entertainment center today, are used as boutique hotels, restaurants, bars, cafeterias, pensions, shopping places, gift shops and houses.


In the historical marina, there are boats that arrange tours to the cliffs, the shoreline, the lower Duden Waterfall and private swimming areas. Seeing and exploring the magnificent beauties of Antalya by sea creates an enjoyable and fun journey.


Historical artifacts in Kaleiçi district;


The Hadrian Gate, which is located on Atatürk Street and has been restored, is one of the most beautiful ancient works of Antalya. After entering through this gate, important historical works such as Yivli Minaret, Keyhüsrev Madrasa, Karatay Madrasa, İskele Mosque, Tekeli Mahmut Pasha Mosque will meet you within the walls. Hıdırlık Tower, Kesik Minaret Mosque, Zincirlıran Tomb, Nigar Hatun Tomb, İskele Mosque are other important historical monuments.


* In 1972, Antalya inner harbor and Kaleiçi district were taken under protection by the "Real Estate Antiquities and Monuments High Board" as a "SIT area" due to its unique texture. The Golden Apple Tourism Oscar was awarded to the Ministry of Tourism by FİJET (International Association of Tourism Writers) on 28 April 1984 for the restoration work of "Antalya-Kaleiçi Complex".
